Synopsis
Learn how to conduct an effective Internet-application-based investigation. Students should already be conducting computer-based investigations and be familiar with the AccessData suite of tools. Internet-based investigations experience would be helpful but is not necessary. This is not an undercover investigations course; it is data recovery focused. Students begin immediately working a missing person case initiated from an instant message found on the computer.

Synopsis
This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct a mobile phone investigation using MPE+. Students will gain hands-on experience with cell phone imaging and analysis and will also process SIM and media cards commonly associated with mobile phone investigations. Students will build specialized filters and column settings to aid in data analysis and reporting. Attendees should be familiar with the AccessData suite of tools. This online course does not have a prerequisite and does contain a competency examination at the conclusion of the course.
